Based at the Mandarin Oriental Vienna within the Security Team in Vienna, the Security Manager is responsible for various duties. The Assistant Security Manager reports to the Security Manager.

• Ensuring the safety and security of guests, employees, and property across the entire hotel premises
• Monitoring and controlling access to sensitive and restricted areas within the hotel
• Overseeing the implementation and compliance of FLHSS policies and procedures (Fire, Life, Health, Safety, and Security) throughout the organization
• Managing the development and delivery of training initiatives to ensure team members fully understand and adhere to FLHSS standards
• Supervising the emergency response team, including the planning and execution of evacuation procedures
• Acting as the primary point of contact during emergencies, ensuring detailed reporting to senior management and efficient coordination of response efforts
• Leading the review and resolution of all incidents, including losses, accidents, and other security-related matters, ensuring proper follow-up and documentation
• Keeping senior management continuously informed of critical incidents and developments impacting property security
• Managing and monitoring access control systems, CCTV systems, and other security infrastructure to ensure smooth and effective operations
• Conducting regular inspections of operational areas and the entire property to ensure compliance with applicable safety standards
• Monitoring and controlling the movement of goods to prevent loss and ensuring accountability for all items entering and leaving the premises
• Performing spot checks of first aid kits in coordination with relevant departments and ensuring timely replenishment
• Responding professionally to emergency situations such as fire alarms, medical emergencies, or security breaches
• Conducting regular patrols to proactively identify and prevent potential hazards
• Investigating security-related incidents and preparing structured incident reports
• Supporting guests and employees with security-related concerns
• Cooperating with police, fire departments, and emergency services as required
• Documenting all incidents and security-related activities in accordance with internal standards

• Proven experience in the field of security, ideally within the hospitality industry
• Good written and spoken German and English skills
• Well-groomed appearance, confident demeanor, and strong communication skills
• Solid knowledge of safety, fire protection, and evacuation procedures
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations
• Ability to prioritize tasks and follow established procedures
• Highest level of discretion, loyalty, and sense of responsibility
