Duties Help
* You will relay instructions from supervisors to other WG-10 welder employees.
* You will stay abreast of and relay to other welders the current requirements of Controlled Work Packages, Formal Work Procedures, Welding Information Sheets and other work authorization.
* You will ensure work distribution in such a manner to keep his /her crew productive.
* You will serve as a Working Leader who leads employees in performing work which is typical of the Welder trade performing a wide range of shop and shipboard welding. Requirements Help Conditions of employment
* May be required to work extended hours and night shift work to provide job coverage to meet production schedules.
* Will be required to use protective devices, clothing, and/or equipment such as, but not limited to safety glasses, hard hats, harnesses, life jackets, respirators, safety shoes, etc.
* Must be a US Citizen.
* Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
* Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

* Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

* You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal
* This is a bargaining unit position.
* You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
* Must be able to maintain IT Level II designation
* This position may require travel worldwide at which time additional medical screening may be required
* Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or pass the test. You will be subject to random testing. * Ability to lead, train, and instruct a team of skilled welders, ensuring all shop employees meet production schedules and completion dates safely and efficiently.
* Ability to administer specialized training in non-nuclear structural welding and heating using GTAW, GMAW, and SMAW processes to maintain high workmanship standards.
* Ability to monitor work in progress and conduct inspections to ensure strict adherence to technical specifications, technique sheets, and joint designs.
