Fort Moore GAPRJOJECTXYZ has exciting openings for UH60 Aircraft Mechanics supporting a customer at the US Army Ranger School at Fort Benning GA.
In addition to base pay, the position includes Health and Welfare Benefits. The difference in the cost of benefits you select is paid to you.
Purpose Of PositionPerforms scheduled and unscheduled maintenance procedures, troubleshoots electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on the UH-60L/M helicopter. Performs maintenance procedures as a scheduled Phase Team member for the UH-60L/M helicopter.
Duties And Responsibilities Mechanic I - $26.73 per hour- Removes, Inspects, installs, and services aircraft subsystem assemblies and components.
- Safely prepares aircraft for inspections and services.
- Performs limited maintenance operational checks and troubleshoots aircraft systems.
- Uses and performs operator maintenance on tools, special tools, and aircraft ground support equipment.
- Uses a working knowledge of technical publications and the Government STAMIS to make entries in electronic aircraft logbooks and records.
- When qualified and when required, perform noncrew member duties.
- When qualified and assigned to crane operator duties shall have three years of crane operation related experience and shall comply with Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) 1926 Safety and Health Regulations for Construction, Subpart: CC Cranes & Derricks in Construction Operator qualification and Certification.
- When required complete an annual Respiratory fit test in order to, use Respiratory Protective Equipment (RPE) for job duties.
- Working with and repairing structural and sheet metal maintenance tasks as needed and if qualified through proper documentation.
- Perform other qualified duties as assigned.
- When required may have to perform Temporary Duty at an operational site in order to repair aircraft.
- Maintains, repairs, and modifies aircraft structures and structural components of moderate difficulty.
- Lead teams through more complex aircraft relevant tasks and make entries in aircraft electronic log books and records.
- Troubleshoot systems as required to meet customer needs.
- Maintain a high level of cleanliness by utilizing a cleanasyougo process when executing maintenance duties.
- Perform regular Foreign Object Damage (FOD) walks.
- Comply with processes and procedures per Department of Defense (DoD) documents and Army Aviation publications to include DA Pamphlets, Aircraft Technical Manuals, Army Regulations, Technical Bulletins, DA Circulars and Modification Work Orders in order to execute uptodate maintenance procedures on the UH60L/M helicopter.
- Use Government computer systems to access various technical references for repairs and complete training requirements.
- Comply with safety rules and regulations while performing daytoday maintenance.
- Promptly report all accidents, injuries, safety violations, and unsafe practices or procedures.
- Troubleshoot malfunctions in aircraft structures, landing gear, flight surfaces and controls, antiicing, pneudraulics, engines, auxiliary power unit, ventilation, and heating systems.
- Remove, Inspect and Replace components that are associated with Scheduled and UnScheduled maintenance procedures on the H60 series helicopter that include but not limited to the following, Power Plant (T701C Engines), Power Train, Hydraulics, Drive Systems (Transmissions), Flight Control Systems, Electrical Systems, and Familiar with Navigation and Avionic systems
- Familiar with Weight and Balance Procedures for the H60 series helicopter and associated Weight and Balance Forms
- Familiar with all service publications on the H60 helicopter (Technical Manuals, Field Manuals, Technical Bulletins) must understand Time Before Overhaul (TBO) schedules
- Complete knowledge on Test, Measurement, Diagnostic, Equipment (TMDE) to include calibration requirements and the use of specialized TMDE for the purpose of installation of highly calibrated components and critical flight and power plant components
- Perform preflight, thru flight, and postflight maintenance inspections.
- Perform other qualified duties as assigned.
- Two years of experience with documented training (by validation of qualifying factors to include documented prior military experience and training) on the MDS UH60/HH60/SH60 and MH60 series or current (valid) FAA A&P license and at least one (1) year of documented experience in general aviation. (DOCUMENTED TRAINING REQUIRED)
- Specialty mechanics will possess a minimum of two (2) years of experience with documented training on the MDS H60 series systems. (DOCUMENTATION REQUIRED)
