Under general supervision, the Laborer II performs a variety of duties operating tools and equipment in order to assist with activities of the Public Works Department.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Assists with completing concrete repair, tree trimming, asphalt repair, fencing, striping/painting of the street, replacing/installing street signs, and traffic light repair.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid GA Driver's License or ability to obtain one.
- Skill in operation of listed tools and equipment.
- Ability to understand and follow oral or written instructions.
- Ability to follow proper safety precautions.
- Ability to navigate different routes throughout the city.
- Ability to establish effective working relationships with other employees, supervisors, and the public.
- Ability to perform heavy manual tasks under varying weather conditions.
