Electrician

Location: Monticello

Electrician Timpl has partnered with a world-leading manufacturer and innovator of wood-fiber-based and porous ceramic technologies and we're looking for an Electrician. An electrician is responsible for installing, and repairing wiring for manufacturing equipment as well as provide preventative maintenance associated with electrical issues. MAJOR FUNCTION:  
* Install, maintain, modify and repair all electrical distribution systems and  associated electrical equipment in regards to manufacturing.  
* Remain in compliance with current National Electrical Code.  
* Inspect and test components of electrical systems, including transformers,  transfer switches and switch gears.  
* Complete work orders and record material utilized on job.  
* Run conduit, pull wires/cables and wire termination.  
* Run computer cables, connect computer jacks and plugs and test for adequate  operation.  
* Utilize blue prints, wiring diagrams and manufacturer's installation manuals  to complete assigned projects.  
* Survey electrical systems, circuits and plans.  
* Understand and troubleshoot PLC.  
* Assist with preventative maintenance as assigned. PREREQUISITES:

* Mechanical mindset  
* High school diploma, GED or equivalent  
* 5 years' experience in similar role  
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to prepare  and deliver clear, concise reports that are understandable by the target  audience  
* Ability to prioritize tasks and escalate them when appropriate  
* Ability to read and interpret blueprints to draft clear and detailed  manufacturing procedures  
* Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced quickly changing environment  
* Time management skills  
* Strong computer skills that include proficiency with MS Office (Word,  Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Dropbox
