Overview

Maintenance Technician (Handyman / Handywoman)

The Fitness Equation is looking for a Maintenance Technician (Handyman / Handywoman) to provide labor for small job maintenance at all TFE locations (currently 2 locations: Ashburn, VA and Chantilly, VA).

• Small electrical jobs with light bulb changes, ballasts changes, electric sockets and switches
• Small plumbing jobs with sinks, showers, toilets, drains, water fountains
• Drywall repair and touch up painting, wall painting
• Hanging posters, pictures, and objects on wall
• Fixing and/or replacing door, doorknobs, corner guards
• Equipment, equipment upholstery, etc.
• Helping with emergency needs like floods
• Other small maintenance and cleaning jobs as required

• Contractor position. Estimating 10-15 hours per week average to start and may increase with time. 7 days a week availability desired with core hours during weekdays.

• If any materials need to be purchased Maintenance Technician will provide a list to TFE Operations Manager who will: (A) purchase the items themselves, or (B) approve the Maintenance Technician to purchase which will be reimbursed on the usual company payroll cycle if all the collected receipts are submitted for reimbursement. TFE will have a convenient storage space to place tools and materials that the Maintenance Technician will provide.
  
  The Operations Manager at TFE will submit a job order in writing every time a job is need no special forms must be completed (text or email works).
