Lead Automation Installation Technician

Job Description Lead Technician Responsibilities

• Ensure customers have a great experience.
• Supervise and train junior and experienced technicians in advanced installation techniques.
• Install complex electronic systems such as distributed audio/video systems, lighting control systems, and security systems.
• Perform advanced configuration of integrated systems including Crestron, Control4, and Lutron.
• Diagnose complex problems with automation, audio/video, and networking equipment.
• Install and terminate cabling in new and existing construction.
• Install speakers and other equipment into or on ceilings and walls.
• Install equipment into a 19" rack with detailed cable management.
• Use and follow cable plans and system connection diagrams.
• Safely use hand and power tools.
• Maintain assigned company vehicle including stocking and organization.
• Work independently and lead others to complete assigned tasks.
• Interact with customers and present a professional appearance.

• Technical aptitude and experience with home automation.
• Creston, Control4, Savant, URC, Lutron, or similar experience required.
• Ability to communicate with clarity, professionalism, and sensitivity with co‑workers and clients.
• Desire to be hands‑on and provide great customer service.
• Complete work with accuracy and excellent attention to detail.
• At least four years experience in the low voltage audio/video installation field (NOT audio/video production or engineering).
• High school diploma.
• A clean driving record must be maintained at all times (background checks will be conducted).
• Candidates must supply basic hand tools.
• Some travel.

Job Type: Full‑time

Salary: $62,400.00 - $93,600.00 per year (or commensurate with experience and ability)

• Crestron, Savant, Control4, Lutron, or similar: 2 years (Required)
• Residential electronics integration: 4 years (Required)

• Driver's License and Clean Driving Record (Required)
• CEDIA, Avixa, or relevant manufacturer certification (Preferred)
