Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Present a professional image of Southeast Pipe Survey, Inc. to customers, fellow employees, and the general public.
  • Assure that the work is of top quality in every respect.
  • Know and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • Know and adhere to appropriate OSHA regulations.
  • Complete all safety related tasks, including but not limited to safety trainings, use of PPE and proper set up and takedown of all job sites.
  • Follow established procedures to maintain a high level of quality.
  • Maintain the assigned vehicle by keeping it fueled, performing pre and post-trip inspection, washing and cleaning, and reporting all issues quickly to the Crew Leader for advisement.
  • Using the weekly work schedule, gather all necessary tools and supplies, including safety signs and cones, placing everything securely in the appropriate locations.
  • Prepare the job site for safe operations by placing safety cones, barricades and signs, passing out door hangers to notify the public, removing cleanout caps to prevent forced sewer backups, connecting fire hose, cables, and other types of connections needed to perform the work.
  • Provide assistance during CIPP liner installation, curing and cutout while constantly monitoring safety.
  • Monitor usage of tools on the job site and make sure they are placed back into the correct location before leaving, in order to prevent loss or theft.
  • Takes the jobsite down safely for re‑mobilizing, making sure to leave the site clean and safe.
  • Any other duties that the Foreman/Crew Leader may request from time to time.
  • Self‑monitors own performance. Notifies the Crew Leader and/or Field Supervisor when additional training or resources are needed.
  • Review this job description at least annually and make recommendations for improvement to the Crew Leader.

  • Able to perform in all 10 competency areas on the Top Ten Evaluation with limited supervision.
Qualification Requirements
  • Education:

    High school diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Language

    Skills:

    Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before customers and other employees.
  • Mathematical

    Skills:

    Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Reasoning Ability:
    Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form – must have the ability to enforce problem‑solving policies.
  • Required Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations:
    Driver’s License.
  • Preferred

    Certifications:

    Flagger certification.
  • Other

    Skills and Abilities:

    Ability to operate equipment, including heavy equipment, forklifts, and bobcat. Working knowledge of OSHA regulations.
  • Physical Demands:
    Must regularly lift or move up to 50 lbs., and occasionally lift or move up to 100 lbs. Must be able to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands or arms, talk or hear, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Work Environment:
    Outdoor weather conditions, extreme heat and cold, wet or humid conditions, vibration, high precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, loud noise.
