- Ability to effectively apply paint and stain evenly, consistently, and neatly on walls, ceilings, and other surfaces.
- Make scheduled rounds of facility and correct areas as needed.
- Perform scheduled maintenance on equipment according to manufacturers recommendations and operation manuals.
- Perform maintenance repairs for plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, carpentry, etc.
- Assist inspectors and contractors in testing, inspections, or repairs of equipment, building and mechanical systems and structure.
- Respond to all emergencies such as fire, smoke, panic alarms, and water leaks.
- Complete work orders and Special projects in a timely manner.
- Keep maintenance shop and storage areas neat and orderly.
- Maintain tools and eqyuiment.
- Knowledge of the tools, equipment, materials, and application techniques common to the painting trade.
- General knowledge of building and mechanical systems.
- Ability to operate hand and power tools and equipment and read common measuring instruments.
- Experience in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and painting.
- Must be able to read, write, and follow written and verbal directions.
- Must have ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the physical plant unit.
