Mobile Trailer Technician

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair commercial semi-trailers on-site.
• Perform mobile road calls and in-yard service, completing detailed work orders.
• Inspect, service, and repair trailer bodies, systems, and components.
• Conduct preventative maintenance on semi-trucks and trailers.
• Repair and replace hubs, axles, brakes, tires, suspension, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Perform welding/fabrication and other structural repairs.
• Ensure all equipment meets DOT safety and compliance requirements.
• Document repairs, inspections, and findings for management and billing.
• Provide excellent customer service and respond quickly to client needs.

• 5+ years of proven trailer repair experience.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to lift 100+ lbs.
• Basic computer skills for repair order submission.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Must provide own tools and have reliable transportation.

• Welding experience/certification.
• Technical school degree or training.
• Class A CDL.

• Schedule Monday–Friday with rotating on-call.
• Overtime pay time and a half plus a $100 bonus for after-hours work.
• Pay bonuses up to $700 extra bi-weekly with efficiency bonuses.

Fleet Mobile Maintenance (FMM) service offerings include mobile preventative maintenance and mechanical repair, tire replacement and repair services, and trailer repair and maintenance services. We serve markets in the Southeast corridor of Michigan, including Detroit, Ann Arbor, Battle Creek, Lansing, and Flint, with technicians in Indianapolis, Cleveland, Louisville, and Nashville. We focus on building long-term relationships with customers by keeping their equipment safe, compliant, rolling, and on time.
