Johnson Controls, a leading Building Technology OEM, is seeking skilled HVAC Servicemen to join our growing business. You will commission, service, and maintain advanced commercial equipment, acting as a trusted advisor to customers on comfort, building efficiency, and other service-related issues.

We provide factory certification through our Service Technical Academy (STA) with milestone recognition, monetary rewards, and advancement opportunities. You will have direct access to Factory Technical Support and be equipped with safety gear, uniforms, tools, a cell phone, technical equipment, and a vehicle required for your job.

Servicemen must have two years practical experience in residential, light commercial, or commercial mechanical equipment. You may be required to pass an examination to demonstrate skills and knowledge. You may assist Journeymen in the repair and service of centrifugal, absorption, screw, and scroll chillers.

You will perform maintenance, repair, and replacement services on commercial heating and cooling systems, recommend solutions to ensure facilities run efficiently, and identify enhancements to improve customer system reliability and sustainability. You will provide labor and material quotes to support your recommendations and participate in weekend, night, and holiday call‑out service on a rotating basis.

• Experience with air‑cooled chillers and large RTU coil and compressor replacements and service diagnostics.
• Adherence to the company Safety Program.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of commercial/industrial HVAC troubleshooting experience.
• Knowledge of maintenance and repair of three‑phase commercial HVAC equipment, RTUs, heat pumps, and fans.
• Valid driver’s license.
• EPA Universal Refrigerant Certification required.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to join the UA of Plumbers and Pipe fitters.

• Five years of commercial or industrial HVAC experience.
• Knowledge of maintenance and minor repair of pumps, VFDs, air handling units, and rooftop units.
• Position is a bargaining unit role.

Pay Range: $32.95 hourly, determined by the CBA/rate sheet. Benefits are provided through a local labor union aligned with a collective bargaining agreement. The posted salary range reflects the target compensation for this role. Exceptional candidates with unique skills may deserve compensation beyond the typical profile.
