- Advanced Diagnostics & Repairs
- Diagnose and repair diesel engines, electrical systems, hydraulics, PTOs, pumps, and vacuum/blower systems
- Perform root cause troubleshooting, not just component replacement
- Ensure all units meet DOT compliance standards prior to rental
- Manage and resolve complex mechanical issues across the fleet
- Own PM schedules, inspections, and fleet readiness
- Review and approve Check-In / Check-Out inspections
- Assess and document damage, repair scope, and timelines
- Maintain accurate records in Fleetio or equivalent systems
- Support execution of the Plan of the Day / Plan of the Week
- Adjust priorities based on fleet demand and downtime needs
- Identify training gaps and provide guidance to technicians
- Assist in maintaining shop standards and workflow efficiency
- Manage parts inventory and proactively order materials
- Balance repair quality, speed, and cost efficiency
- Ensure tools and equipment are maintained and used properly
- Operate vehicles in full compliance with DOT and federal regulations
- Maintain valid CDL and DOT medical certification
- Conduct DOT inspections and ensure documentation accuracy
- Enforce and model all safety procedures and policies
- Provide equipment training to customers and team members
- Support field or delivery needs when required
- Represent the company professionally in all interactions
- 5–10+ years of diesel / heavy equipment experience
- Strong background in hydraulics, PTO systems, and advanced diagnostics
- Experience with vacuum trucks, pumps, or similar equipment preferred
- CDL required
- Ability to work independently and lead when needed
Work on specialized equipment (vac/hydro systems) — not repetitive fleet work
