Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, HVAC Tech / Heating Engineer, Installation Technician
Responsibilities
- Electromechanical troubleshooting
- Performing preventive maintenance such as cleaning, lubrication, and adjustments to machinery to prevent breakdowns and ensure smooth operation.
- Troubleshooting and diagnosing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic system malfunctions using diagnostic tools, technical manuals, and schematics.
- Repairing and replacing faulty components, dismantling machinery when necessary, and reassembling equipment to working order.
- Installing new machinery and equipment, ensuring proper alignment, calibration, and integration with existing systems.
- Maintaining detailed records of maintenance activities, including logs, reports on equipment performance, and inventory of spare parts in the CMMS system.
- Fabricating or modifying parts as needed using welding, cutting, or other fabrication skills.
- Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and maintaining a clean, organized work environment.
- Assisting in training production personnel on proper operation and basic preventive maintenance of equipment.
- Source parts include OEM parts for equipment.
- Perform regular preventive maintenance on HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance and longevity, including cleaning ducts, checking for leaks, and refilling refrigerants.
- Diagnose and repair malfunctions in HVAC systems, including troubleshooting electrical and mechanical faults.
- Keep detailed records of maintenance and repair work performed, including costs and types of services provided.
- Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Experience with industrial control systems and familiarity with OSHA safety standards.
- Basic computer skills for reporting and documentation.
- Previous work experience in industrial maintenance or a related field; a technical degree or similar may be preferred.
- Strong problem‑solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a thorough understanding of electrical and mechanical systems related to HVAC equipment.
- Proven experience as an HVAC technician is essential, with a strong understanding of HVAC systems and components.
- Class1
HVAC license preferred.
