Responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing A/V and security infrastructure in a low voltage environment. The ideal candidate will be able to meet the physical demands of the worksite as well as provide excellent customer service.

Essential Job Functions
  • Installs A/V and security equipment per the plans provided for the specific application.
  • Maintain professional attitude with emphasis on safety and customer service.
  • Hang, mount, rack, install, and rig equipment per plans and specifications.
  • Read and Interpret manuals, construction drawings, wiring diagrams, floor plans, and specifications.
  • Properly sets up a variety of testers (fiber and copper).
  • Performs system testing and troubleshooting as required.
  • Terminates, labels, tests, and troubleshoots optical fiber and copper installations.
  • Mount face plates and surface mount boxes correctly.
  • Builds closets (Mount and install backboards, cross connects, racks, patch panels, fiber optic and hardware).
  • Responsible for meeting deadlines and managing materials and tools.
  • Responsible for completing daily timesheets and job documentation.
  • Other duties assigned by management
Requirements Required

Job Skills
  • Able to lift heavy objects, work on construction sites.
  • Able to use hand tools: screwdriver (regular and Phillips), drywall saw, torpedo level, tape measure, snips (with belt sheath), pliers (needle nose and channel locks), hammer, wrench set, cable stripper, flashlight and gloves.
  • Punctual and Dependable.
  • Effective Communications.
  • 1+ years construction, cabling, A/V, or physical security experience preferred.
  • Solid team player.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Able to meet deadlines.
  • Able to work on construction sites as well as in office setting.
Education, Certification, License
  • High School Diploma/ GED equivalency.
Work Environment and Physical Demands

Work environment consists of a varied environments, including but not limited to construction and occasional office.

Physical Demands
  • Sit, Stand and Walk.
  • Manipulate, handle, reach, use and to finger, feel, and control items or equipment.
  • Able to read, write and interpret written documents, plans and drawings.
  • Clearly communicate/speak/hear effectively with clients and coworkers.
  • Life heavy equipment more than 20+ pounds.

(Reliable transportation to and from jobsite is necessary, a truck/van is not required).
