Job DescriptionAssists with adult client one on one enrolled in a day program with daily life, social and academic skills and/or behavior management training. Observes and monitors client’s behavior and charts observations and incidents. Serves as role model and provides emotional support and feedback to client & their support system.
Anticipated ScheduleWill work Monday – Friday, 8 AM – 2 PM.
Competencies- Ability to observe and monitor program participants’ behavior
- Ability to redirect behavioral outbursts
- Ability to train program participants in routine daily living skills
- Ability to work flexible hours
- Ability to participate in supportive guidance
- Must be proficient with computers
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent, and six months social services experience
- Valid driver’s license with 6 points or fewer
- Must be at least 21 years of age with three years driving experience (per policy) to provide transportation
- Experience with developmentally delayed population preferred
