Life Enrichment / Recreation Assistant

NHC Rossville is looking for a Life Enrichment / Recreation Assistant to join our fun team and assist in providing therapeutic programs that meet each patient's individual needs while providing an atmosphere of fun and enjoyment. The applicant must be compassionate, caring, creative, energetic, and have knowledge of wellness domains as it relates to programming in long-term care. Your goal is to provide daily meaningful activities that enhance the quality of life for our residents.

32 hours a week. You will work alternating weekend and/or holiday hours.

• Develop and implement a well-rounded wellness program for Long-Term Care, Memory Care, or Rehab patients.
• Timely completion of assessments, care plans, and associated paperwork.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal guidelines regarding programming.
• Bring the "fun" to the environment.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Strong communication and time-management skills.
• Team player, ability to work with other departments to build staff morale.
• Basic typing and computer skills.
• Programming with Microsoft Word and Publisher for producing monthly calendars, newsletters, and marketing material.

• Self-motivated, creative with a positive attitude and genuine enthusiasm.
• Ability to work with family members, partners, and the community.
• High School Diploma or GED.
