As the Head of AI/ML Service Line, you will be responsible for the full ownership of our AI/ML service line, from strategic vision and profitability to team leadership and delivery quality. You will collaborate closely with Sales, Pre‑Sales, Delivery, AWS partners and engineering leaders, ensuring that our AI/ML offering remains market‑leading, scalable and aligned with the company’s long‑term goals.
You’ll oversee a 30-40 member organization (including contractors), directly manage 5 Solutions Architects (including Engineering Managers), and support a broader technical organization through indirect leadership. You will play a key role in driving the evolution from PoCs to production‑grade MVPs. This role requires a leader who combines strong business acumen, technological oversight and people leadership in a dynamic, fast‑changing AI environment.
What you’ll be doing :Drive the strategic vision of the AI/ML Service Line
- Own and evolve the service line strategy, aligning offerings with Snap Soft’s growth targets and market opportunities
- Work closely with Sales & Pre‑Sales to understand customer needs, market trends and emerging AI/ML opportunities
- Collaborate with AWS to leverage credits, programs, co‑selling motions and new AI/ML services
Ensure delivery excellence across all AI/ML projects
- Oversee technical execution and quality across an organization of 30-40 engineers (indirectly)
- Directly manage 5 solutions architects (including engineering managers) - strong people leadership, motivation and direction‑setting is key
- Act as the final escalation point for critical client situations, resolving issues quickly and with strong stakeholder management
- Ensure SoW approval processes and operational SLAs are consistently met
Build and scale high‑performing AI/ML engineering organizations
- Grow engineering pods and develop horizontal capabilities (L&D, R&D) within the service line
- Create and maintain competency development programs focused on AWS AI/ML technologies
- Lead and mentor managers and senior engineers, fostering a culture of ownership, accountability and continuous learning
Manage service line profitability and business performance
- Own the financial performance of the AI/ML service line (profitability, utilization, subcontractor ratio)
- Translate financial expectations into delivery and resource strategies
- Oversee subcontractor governance and ensure smooth onboarding and quality processes
Represent Snap Soft externally
- Act as a subject‑matter expert and trusted advisor to clients in complex AI/ML engagements
- Represent Snap Soft at industry events, conferences and AWS ecosystem activities
- At least 4-5 years of proven experience leading engineering teams or delivery units (10+ people), including experience managing managers (leading leaders and motivating them effectively)
- BSc or MSc degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or a related field
- Experience working with AWS AI/ML services and a strong understanding of the ML lifecycle from an architectural perspective
- Hands‑on experience with AWS AI/ML services (e.g. Sage Maker, Bedrock, Textract, Lambda)
- Understanding of AI/ML architectures, solution patterns, and real‑world implementation challenges
- AWS Solutions Architect or AWS AI/ML Specialty certification is a plus
- A strong track record of driving delivery excellence in fast‑paced, evolving environments
- Ability to operate in hybrid environments (startup mindset + structured processes) and adapt quickly to shifting priorities
- Strong business acumen, with the ability to connect financial KPIs to delivery and resourcing decisions
- Excellent communication skills, especially in high‑stakes client conversations and escalations
