Lead Architect

Cox Automotive is seeking a Lead Architect to drive the technical vision for next generation telecommunications and media-enabled automotive solutions. You will define end-to-end cloud architecture, design scalable APIs and integrations, and guide microservices and data platform patterns across brands like Autotrader and Manheim. Partner with product and engineering leaders to align roadmaps, set standards, and perform architecture reviews. Mentor engineers, champion security and reliability, and help shape innovative, global platforms that power modern automotive retail and mobility.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain end-to-end cloud and application architecture for telecommunications and media-enabled automotive platforms.
• Design scalable APIs, integrations, and microservices for brands such as Autotrader, Kelley Blue Book, and Manheim.
• Lead architectural decision-making, reviews, and governance across cross-functional product and engineering teams.
• Establish and enforce best practices for scalability, performance, security, and reliability in distributed systems.
• Collaborate with product leaders to align technology roadmaps with business strategy and customer needs.
• Mentor and coach engineers, promoting architectural standards, reusable patterns, and technical excellence.
• Drive data platform and streaming architectures to support analytics, personalization, and real-time services.
• Ensure solutions meet compliance, security, and privacy requirements across global markets.
