Overview

Job Title: Associate Athletic Director Of Youth Sports

Classification: Exempt

Reports To: Athletic Director

The Associate Athletic Director of Youth Sports is responsible for the development, organization, delivery, and administration of a spiritually grounded and excellent Youth Sports program. This role is crucial in ensuring that all program activities, operations, and coaching align with the mission of Hebron Christian Academy. A commitment to spiritual oversight, program expansion, Godly coaching development, and unparalleled customer service is the expectation.

Leadership

Responsibilities
  • Team Management:
    Build, manage, mentor, and motivate youth sports teams (staff and volunteers).
  • Budgeting:
    Manage the department's operating budget.
  • Community Relations:
    Build, maintain, and enhance relationships between the Hebron Christian Academy and the surrounding community.
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or experience working effectively with children, parents, and coaches. Proven experience in youth sports programming, administration or coaching with an understanding of a variety of sports and their rules/regulations.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Oversee spiritual development and emphasis among all youth sports teams, ensuring Christ-centered principles are integrated into practices, games, and team culture.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive program for raising Godly Coaches, including regular training, mentorship, and resources focused on Christian leadership, character development, and discipleship of young athletes.
  • Actively model and promote the organization's core values—such as sportsmanship, respect, and spiritual development—to shape a positive and Christ-centered culture across all teams and activities.
  • Encourage all program activities to align with the foundational statements and Christian mission of HCA.
  • Enforce league and HCA policies and procedures, ensuring a safe, fair, and Christ-honoring environment.
  • Identify, develop, and implement new Youth Sports programs not currently in place, expanding athletic opportunities for students in alignment with the school’s mission and resources to include sports such as soccer, lacrosse, etc.
  • Serve as a primary contact for youth sports coaches, parents, participants, spectators, and officials, modeling excellence in customer service and communication.
  • Develop and distribute team practice and game schedules.
  • Assist in the marketing and distribution of youth sports program information.
  • Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with community organizations to enhance program outreach.
  • Lead the recruitment, hiring, training, and supervision of all coaches, staff, and volunteers.
  • Serve as the chief problem-solver and mediator for conflicts involving coaches, parents, participants, and officials, ensuring fair and swift resolution.
