Starting Pay: $19.00 per hour
Shift: 1st shift Monday-Friday and some Saturdays. 8 hour shift, flexible start time no later than 8am.
Logistics Coordinator– Duties & Responsibilities
The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for coordinating, preparing, and processing outbound shipments to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with company and customer requirements. This role involves working closely with warehouse, production, and logistics teams to verify orders, prepare shipping documentation, and maintain accurate records.
- Verify and process outgoing shipments according to customer orders, schedules, and specifications.
- Review daily routes published for trailer optimization and discrepancies; participate in daily route reviews with the Central Routing and Logistics Team.
- Prepare and print shipping labels, bills of lading, and other required documentation.
- Process add‑on requests from Scheduling and update routes/shipment plans accordingly.
- Upload LTL documentation daily.
- Ensure all shipments meet packaging, labeling, and compliance standards.
- Coordinate cross‑dock orders by verifying receipt of goods, releasing shipments per schedule, and promptly communicating discrepancies.
- Coordinate with carriers, freight forwarders, and drivers to schedule pickups and deliveries.
- Inspect and confirm the accuracy of items, quantities, and condition of products before shipping.
- Run daily reports, track and record all shipments in company systems (ERP, WMS, or other software).
- Maintain organized records of shipping activities for audit and reporting purposes.
- Collaborate with inventory and warehouse teams to resolve discrepancies or shortages.
- Support cycle counts and inventory reconciliation as needed.
- Follow all safety, quality, and operational procedures.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in logistics or supply chain preferred.
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations (1‑3 years preferred).
- Proficient in basic computer programs like Microsoft Office and familiar with database management for record‑keeping.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with truck drivers, customers, and internal teams.
- Knowledge of shipping software, ERP/WMS systems, and carrier platforms (UPS, Fed Ex, LTL/TL).
- Strong attention to detail, organizational, and time management skills.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills to handle multiple tasks and work in a fast‑paced environment.
- Warehouse/office setting with frequent interaction with carriers and drivers.
- May require standing, lifting, bending, and operating warehouse equipment.
