School Bus Driver

Position

School Bus Driver – Local Motion – Newton, MA

Pay:
Up to $34/hour. Paid training: $20/hour. Charter/Activity trips: $27/hour.

Schedule:

Split shift (AM/PM), 30+ hours per week. Weekdays only—no nights, weekends, or holidays. Weekly pay + guaranteed minimum hours.

Sign‑on bonus: $2,500 (effective March 6, 2026). Qualified candidates with a CDL will receive bonus upon hire.

• Safely transport students to and from school and events.
• Drive assigned local routes.
• Perform pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections.
• Maintain a clean, safe vehicle.
• Communicate professionally with students, families, and school staff.
• Follow all state/local traffic laws and school district policies.

• CDL Class B (or higher) with P & S endorsements, or willingness to obtain them through training.
• Valid DOT medical card—or ability to obtain one.
• Safe driving record.
• 21 years of age or older, with at least 3 years of driving experience.
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening.
• Proficient in spoken and written English.
