Location: Alto
Our client is seeking a highly organized, detail‑oriented, and experienced Shipping and Receiving Associate to join our warehouse operations team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of warehouse experience, excellent computer literacy for inventory management, and proven proficiency in operating both sit‑down and stand‑up forklifts. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate, efficient, and safe flow of materials in and out of our facility.
Responsibilities- Shipping & Receiving:
Coordinate and process all incoming and outgoing shipments; load and unload trucks efficiently and safely; create packing lists. - Equipment Operation:
Safely operate sit‑down and stand‑up forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment. - Computer & Systems Management:
Utilize WMS, ERP software, Excel, and other systems to process orders, generate shipping labels, print packing slips, and update inventory records in real time. - Inventory Control:
Perform accurate visual and physical counts of incoming freight, compare against packing slips and purchase orders, and document any discrepancies, damages, or shortages. - Quality Assurance:
Inspect all outgoing shipments to ensure order accuracy, proper packaging, and secure loading to prevent transit damage.
- Previous experience with shipping and receiving preferred.
- Stable work history.
High School
Experience4‑7 years
Qualifications- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands‑on experience in shipping, receiving, or a fast‑paced warehouse environment.
- Forklift Expertise:
Documented experience and current or highly recent certification to operate both sit‑down and stand‑up forklifts. - Computer
Skills:
Exceptional proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, shipping portals, and inventory/WMS databases. - Education:
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. - Soft Skills:
Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment, and strong written and verbal communication skills.
Working hours:
7:00 AM - 5:00 PM
