Pallet Jack Operator

Primarily responsible for transporting product via electric pallet jack. This job requires that employees carry different loads when needed and help out in other areas when necessary. Must always use and maintain personal protective equipment, and work in compliance with all company policies, and local, state and federal policies, laws and regulations.

Responsibilities and tasks include checking specified labels of products to verify right content on boxes, taking product from one location to another location when needed, assisting in helping others as needed, frequently lifting up to 40lbs and occasionally lifting up to 60 lbs, walking throughout the facility frequently, and being subject to extremely wet and cold environments as well as wet and hot environments.

Required skills include the ability to work unsupervised and self-motivate, ability to work nights, weekends, and extended shift hours, sound work ethic, honesty and moral character, ability to count and understand numbers, jack driver knowledge helpful but not required, good interpersonal skills, excellent verbal communication skills, and must be flexible and willing to work in various functions.

Safety requirements include following departmental and company safety policies and programs, and must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Physical requirements include standing up to 8 hours, lifting up to 60 lbs, and exposure to wet and cold environment. Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test and background check are required.
