Supervisor - Transportation

As a Transportation Supervisor, your goal is to deliver an enriching experience to team members every day. You provide a warm welcome and safe and secure atmosphere for all team members in every aspect of transportation. Your responsibilities include effectively leading and supervising all Transportation Drivers to ensure Forbes five-star standards are achieved daily and ensure all Sea Island policies and procedures are followed. You will also assist with coordination of transportation for our guests, members, and team members. Tasks include monitoring day-to-day operations of team member shuttles, guest transportation operations, and driver operations. Other tasks include ensuring the Transportation department complies with all FMCSA and DOT regulations.

All team members at Sea Island are considered leaders. You set the tone by consistently upholding and ensuring compliance with departmental procedures, including standards for quality, timing, attendance, and appearance. You follow and ensure all Sea Island safety protocols are consistently met. You maintain situational awareness of your surroundings, keeping an eye on all areas for tidiness and any general maintenance issues, ensuring that all are corrected or reported immediately.

You enthusiastically maintain your knowledge of Sea Island’s properties, services, and offerings, and share this information with team members. You are generous with your support and help resolve any service issues that arise in a timely and positive way, following up as needed. You are proactive in helping when needed and are willing to help with other areas or duties as requested.

• Previous experience in leadership or the transportation or dispatching field preferred
• Thorough knowledge of FMCSA and DOT regulations preferred
• Strong organizational skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and office equipment
• Driving between properties is required (valid GA driver’s license, favorable driving record and DOT medical card)
• Ability to kneel, crouch, squat, climb, stand, sit, balance, reach, stretch, bend, push, pull, and walk
• Ability to use independent judgment and problem solve; patience, empathy, ability to mediate and handle sensitive/confidential situations
• Timeliness and flexibility - you agree to work a flexible schedule, being available to meet with team members and resolve any challenges that arise, willing to balance competing priorities and switch focus as needed
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
