PET​/CT Technologist

Our PET/CT technologists use exceptional communication skills to connect with patients, explain procedures, and put them h a caring attitude and keen attention to detail, they ensure patient comfort, safety, and satisfaction every step of the way. They demonstrate technical competence by effectively interpreting physician orders and selecting appropriate software options and imaging parameters to produce high-quality PET/CT images, enabling physicians to diagnose accurately and treat confidently.

Their flexibility allows them to work in various environments—outpatient centers, mobile units, or hospital-based facilities—delivering optimal imaging care at any access point.

Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

• Ensuring patient safety through pre-screening for contraindications, aseptic injection techniques, and radiation safety compliance, including proper documentation when working with radioactive materials.
• Producing high-quality diagnostic images.
• Communicating effectively with patients and radiologists.
• Training new technologists and/or radiology staff.
• Troubleshooting scanners, coaches, and peripheral equipment (monitors, PACS, coils, etc.).

Position Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent;
  Associate’s Degree or similar experience preferred.
• Certification in Nuclear Medicine by NMTCB or ARRT (N) required.
• State license, as applicable.
• CPR certification required.
• 1-2 years’ experience in Nuclear Medicine procedures preferred.
• Ability to work across multiple locations.
• Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Local travel may be required.
• COVID-19 vaccination may be a condition of employment.

Physical Requirements:

• May be exposed to outside weather conditions during patient transport on mobile units.
• Exposure to radioactive isotopes, ionizing radiation, blood, body fluids, and infectious diseases.
• More than 50% of the time: sit, stand, walk; repetitive hand/arm/leg movements; communicate with patients.
• Less than 50% of the time: stooping, kneeling, crawling, climbing, balancing, lifting/moving non-ambulatory patients.
