Incentive: $2,500 sign on bonus

Position Purpose

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing oversight and management to the provision of service delivery to participants. Provide skilled nursing care, prescribe treatments, and develop appropriate plans of care to participants according to professional nursing standards and primary care orders.

Mon - Fri 8:00 to 4:30. No weekends, nights, holidays, or on-call requirements.

This position will also provide service to 3 religious community locations – McAuley House (Merion Station), Manresa Hall (Philadelphia) and The Villa Sisters of St. Joseph (Flourtown).

Mercy LIFE McAuley provides residential and nursing support for the Sisters of Mercy at Merion Station and for the Jesuit Fathers residing in Manresa Hall.

Shifts at Manresa will be worked as needed. The two locations are just minutes apart.

The Villa Sisters of St. Joseph serves as a full-service retirement center for the Sisters of St. Joseph. This 80 bed, multi-level care facility includes independent living, assisted living, a medical and dementia unit.

What You Will Do
  • Provide skilled nursing care and prescribed treatments to participants according to professional nursing standards and primary care orders. Complete participant nutritional assessments and reassessments as needed.
  • Participate as a member of the interdisciplinary team (IDT), including completion of initial medical history, physical exam, and functional nursing assessments of each new participant and semi‑annual, annual, and unscheduled assessments.
  • Participate in daily program activities and provide comprehensive plan of care to meet participant needs and promote optimum health, independence and self‑care.
  • Facilitate integration of new participants into the PACE program health care delivery system.
  • Demonstrate nursing care to and instruct participants and families in treatments and other self‑care interventions.
  • Communicate, counsel and guide participants and families regarding service needs and concerns as well as provide education on health‑related topics.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Must be a graduate of an accredited Nursing Degree program and possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of Pennsylvania.
  • BSN preferred. Active CPR Certification required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of demonstrated successful experience in related services with a geriatric population.
  • Valid driver's license in good standing and proof of insurance required.
  • Must have the ability to perform standard clinical procedures according to established protocols and possess initiative, solid problem‑solving skills, and a high level of accuracy and thoroughness in documenting the delivery of services.
  • Demonstrate superior written, verbal communication and presentation skills. Able to effectively communicate with those representing diverse perspectives.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, Outlook. Ability to use other software as required to perform the essential functions of the job.
  • Ability to change and be flexible with work priorities.
