We close at 5:30 PM every weekday and do not have weekend hours, except during inventory or busy season. We are closed on Sundays.
- Check in and receive purchase orders, compare packing lists to POs for accuracy before receiving into the computer, and log details into the Daily Receiving Log.
- Compile and disseminate problem reports to appropriate departments and physically verify shortages, overages, or damages, communicating issues to management.
- Compile, copy, sort, post, and file purchase orders, transfers, and other documents in hard copy and electronically.
- Delete existing transfers to create new transfers from pallet lists, pick items in the computer for transfer, print shipping copies, and log all details on the Transfer Log List spreadsheet.
- Assist in maintaining filing systems to enable staff to locate specific documents quickly.
- Operate office machines such as computers, fax machines, scanners, printers/copiers, and calculators.
- Assist in scheduling incoming containers by locating and printing delivery orders, packing lists, and PO copies, and logging them as soon as possible.
- Answer phones with superb customer service skills to direct calls, schedule appointments, or help locate items needed by other stores or customers.
- Assist the Warehouse Manager in day‑to‑day operational activities, leading, planning, and directing all employees, opening and closing the warehouse, covering any personnel gaps, building relationships with staff, and proactively recommending improvements.
- Respond to after‑hours alarms and meet with local law enforcement to permit investigations and secure the property.
- Schedule trucks and containers for delivery to and from the warehouse and resolve issues with freight companies while the manager is away.
- Monitor negative on‑hand inventory daily and keep inventory accurate.
- Research any store inventory issues that may arise.
- Review transfer reports daily for hot‑red items, etc.
- Order office supplies and any other supplies (pallets, cardboard, etc.) as needed when the manager is away.
- Enforce procedures, work schedules, and expedite workflow daily.
- Provide input to management regarding personnel issues daily.
- Assist with the company safety program and employee training.
- Operate a Raymond forklift daily as needed.
- Perform any and all other duties assigned by management.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- At least one year of related experience.
- Intermediate computer skills.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Experience with Adobe, POS systems, and Google.
- Knowledge of agricultural equipment, parts, and supplies preferred, either by education or practical use.
- Strong organizational and planning skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize work.
