Medical Waste Containers - Evening Plant Operator

Job Summary

We are looking to hire a Warehouse Associate for our medical waste treatment facility in Ellenwood, GA. This role involves checking in containers, double checking paperwork, moving/unloading containers, recertifying 55 gallon drums, and weighing incoming sharps containers. The ideal candidate likes variety and can think through practical problems.

• Weigh incoming regulated medical waste containers (using our Weighbridge)
• Load/operate our autoclave machine (a pressure chamber to melt materials)
• Recertify 55 gallon drums
• Count universal waste (light bulbs, batteries, etc.) and add to the manifest
• Experience in training others
• Lifting up to 75 lbs and handling 55 gallon drums
• Provide attention to detail, especially with paperwork required to process these items
• Stand for extended periods comfortably
• Work well with a team because teamwork is essential
• 'Can‑do' attitude and commitment to safe, efficient work
• Experience in a labor‑intensive, warehouse, industrial, or manufacturing job
• Proven reliability and tenure with previous employers
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds safely and repeatedly
• Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Comfortable working around medical and universal waste with PPE
• Able to stay productive without constant supervision and look for the next task
• Takes ownership when something is wrong and follows through on corrections
• Works respectfully with coworkers and leaders, even under pressure
• Looking for stable, long‑term work to support personal and family responsibilities

• Consistent work hours – Monday‑Friday, 2nd shift start anytime between 12pm‑9pm
• Permanent position – full‑time direct hire role of 40 hours per week.
