Setup Technician - Precision in Equipment, Excellence in Service

Join us as a Setup Technician and play a vital role in ensuring agricultural implements and equipment operate at peak performance. Your craftsmanship and technical skills will directly contribute to the success of our customers' farming operations, combining hands-on repair, assembly, and maintenance tasks that keep the gears turning in the agricultural industry.

What You'll Do:

• Set up, repair, and maintain farm implements and equipment to ensure optimal functionality
• Replace components such as disks, harrows, tines, bearings, seed cups, shafts, chains, and more
• Assemble agricultural implements and equipment with precision
• Rebuild hydraulic cylinders to restore hydraulic efficiency
• Replace tires and install tubes on various implements
• Perform post-rent equipment maintenance, including greasing and seed box cleaning
• Execute occasional welding and fabrication to customize or repair equipment
• Maintain accurate service records for all maintenance and repairs

Required Skills:

• Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in farm equipment repair and assembly
• Proficiency in replacing and repairing parts such as disks, bearings, chains, and hydraulic components
• Ability to perform basic welding and fabrication tasks
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to follow technical instructions and safety protocols

Nice to Have

Skills:

• Experience with hydraulic system rebuilding and troubleshooting
• Welding certifications or fabrication skills
• Previous experience in a farm equipment or machinery setting
• Familiarity with service record documentation and maintenance logs

Preferred

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in mechanical or agricultural equipment preferred
• Prior experience in agricultural equipment setup, repair, or a related field is highly desirable

Other Requirements:

• Must be willing to perform physical tasks including lifting and working in varied weather conditions
• Basic understanding of safety procedures related to equipment repair and operation
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
