Asset Senior Accountant

Montgomery County, MD | Hybrid Schedule in office 1 day a week

A growing manufacturing organization in Montgomery County, MD, is seeking a Fixed Asset Senior Accountant to join its expanding accounting team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accountant looking to own the fixed asset function while gaining exposure to a collaborative corporate accounting environment.

• Manage the full fixed asset lifecycle, including acquisitions, transfers, disposals, and retirements.
• Prepare monthly depreciation, journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Maintain the fixed asset subledger and ensure compliance with company accounting policies.
• Support month-end and year-end close activities related to fixed assets and capital expenditures.
• Partner with operations and finance teams to track capital projects and asset capitalization.
• Assist with external audits by preparing schedules and supporting documentation.
• Identify opportunities to improve fixed asset accounting processes and internal controls.
• Support additional general ledger accounting and special projects as needed.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 3+ years of accounting experience, including hands-on fixed asset accounting.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and fixed asset capitalization/depreciation principles.
• Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
• Manufacturing or inventory accounting experience is highly preferred.
• CPA or CPA-track is a plus.
