Director, Marketing Operations

• Architect GEICO's marketing operating system that turns marketing strategy into measurable results at scale
• Lead and implement the operational backbone enabling speed, quality, and impact across marketing functions
• Own contract management, governance controls, workflow discipline, stakeholder alignment, and marketing systems
• Ensure operating models are clear and consistently applied
• Manage organizational change during onboarding, transitions, and transformation initiatives
• Drive operations community excellence through scalable best practices, automation, AI integration, and streamlined processes
• Embed operational rigor across workflows, controls, and reporting
• Resolve complex delivery or governance issues as the escalation point
• Design staffing models across marketing work streams
• Connect strategy, funding, execution, and performance through processes and workflows
• Streamline marketing work approval and activation
• Build cross-functional relationships and create buy-in across GEICO teams
• Design transparent communications regarding marketing operations progress
• Partner with Finance, Legal, Compliance, and Risk teams
• Establish governance frameworks for regulatory adherence, audit readiness, and risk mitigation
• Drive automation to reduce manual effort, errors, and duplication
• Lead partner strategy across supplier selection, negotiations, renewals, and compliance
• Design marketing scope processes with measurable outcomes
• Support strategic sourcing and competitive RFPs
• Lead agency and supply management
• Evolve supplier performance through KPIs, scorecards, and business reviews
• Drive continuous improvement through process enhancements and cost-saving initiatives
• Resolve performance issues with structured corrective action plans

• 10+ years in marketing operations, transformation, creative technology, consulting, or platform strategy roles
• Proven experience designing complex systems across tools and partners
• Proven ability to design, embed and govern operational processes at scale, including tool adoption and change management programs
• Strong understanding of modern Mar Tech, creative tools, automation, and AI-enabled platforms
• Ability to influence without direct ownership
• Clear communication skills to translate between executives, technologists, creatives, and vendors
• Ability to make decisions in ambiguous, multi-stakeholder environments with competing priorities
• Calm executive presence; ability to operate confidently at senior client and leadership levels
• Must be able to work onsite 3 days per week at the NYC or Bethesda office
