Overview
We are seeking a talented entry-level Landscape Designer for our Germantown, Maryland office. This role offers the opportunity to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary engineering and design environment, contributing to a wide range of project types and scales.
The ideal candidate is highly motivated, outgoing, and resourceful, with a passion for design excellence and a desire to grow within a dynamic team.
Qualifications- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture.
- 0–5 years of professional experience.
- Strong understanding of Design Development and Construction Document preparation.
- Familiarity with grading principles and basic site design concepts.
- Excellent written, graphic, and verbal communication skills.
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, MS Office, LAND F/X, and Sketch Up.
- Strong digital visualization and freehand graphic skills.
- High level of professionalism and strong organizational and organizational skills.
- Licensure is not required but is expected to be part of long-term career development.
- Design & Documentation Support:
Assist in the development of conceptual, schematic, and detailed landscape designs, and support the preparation of Design Development and Construction Document packages. - Digital Modeling & Visualization:
Produce digital graphics, renderings, and visualizations to communicate design intent. - Technical Coordination:
Collaborate with architects, engineers, and planners to integrate landscape elements into multidisciplinary projects. - Site Analysis & Field Work:
Participate in field work, including site visits, inventory, measurements, photography, and documentation to support design development, including grading observation and support. - Research:
Conduct research on materials, planting, sustainability strategies, and design precedents.
