Position Overview

Assistant Professor-in-Residence, Psychology/Honors (UNLV) – full‑time, 9‑month, non‑tenure track teaching faculty.

The role begins Fall 2027 and reports to both the Honors College and the Department of Psychology.

• Teach HON 201 (Honors General Psychology) and 400‑level honors seminars in interdisciplinary psychology courses.
• Develop and instruct undergraduate courses in children’s mental health for the new B.S. program in Children’s Behavioral Health Psychology, covering topics such as youth assessment, health promotion practices, addictions, targeted intervention practices, professional development & ethics, and inclusive practices.
• Contribute to curriculum development and student mentorship for both the Honors College and the Department of Psychology.
• Participate in college and university service activities; collaborate with program coordinators for assessment and quality control.

• Ph.D. in psychology or a related discipline (ABD candidates considered).
• Substantial teaching experience, including online instruction.
• Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
