Echo Star has an exciting opportunity for an ML Engineering Intern. This position will be located at our office in Germantown, MD.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support data cleaning, preprocessing, and feature engineering on datasets used for machine learning tasks
• Assist with training, tuning, and evaluating simple ML models under guidance
• Help test and validate models to ensure they perform as expected and support documentation of results
• Participate in code reviews, collaborate with engineers, and contribute to team discussions
• Learn and explore new AI/ML tools, libraries, and techniques relevant to ongoing projects
• Assist with basic scripting and automation tasks to support data workflows

Education and Experience:

• GPA 3.3 or above
• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program, in a related field of study
• Must have 60 credit hours completed by May 2026

Skills and

Qualifications:

• Basic programming skills in Python (experience with libraries like scikit‑learn, Pandas, or Tensor Flow is a plus)
• Familiarity with fundamental ML concepts such as supervised/unsupervised learning and model evaluation
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a desire to learn new technologies
• Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with a team
• Coursework or personal projects involving machine learning or data analysis

Compensation: $51,000.00/Year - $73,000.00/Year
