Job Summary
Electrical Engineer II (Regular). Responsible for design, integration, and testing of RF and electronic systems for advanced security solutions. Hands‑on engineering development with occasional field support.
Responsibilities- Support design and development of electrical systems, including analog, digital, and RF subsystems.
- Assist in schematic capture, PCB layout coordination, and component selection.
- Perform circuit analysis, simulation, and validation testing.
- Contribute to system integration across electrical, mechanical, and software domains.
- Develop and execute test plans, procedures, and reports.
- Support bring‑up, troubleshooting, and debugging of hardware systems.
- Operate test equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and power supplies.
- Analyze test data and recommend design improvements.
- Participate in field test events, including system setup, operation, and teardown.
- Troubleshoot system issues in real‑time under field conditions.
- Support data collection and initial analysis during test events.
- Travel 10–25% to test sites, including remote or austere environments.
- Coordinate with program, operations, and customer teams during field activities.
- Maintain clear documentation of designs, test results, and procedures.
- Support configuration management and engineering change processes.
- Participate in design reviews and technical discussions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 3–7 years of relevant electrical engineering experience.
- Experience with circuit design, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with laboratory test equipment and measurement techniques.
- Hands‑on with hardware systems.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to travel (10–25%) and support field testing.
- Must be U.S. citizen and able to obtain a DoD security clearance.
- Experience with RF systems, communications, or phased array technologies.
- Familiarity with PCB design tools (e.g., Altium).
- Experience with embedded systems or FPGA‑based hardware.
- Exposure to environmental or field testing (range testing, flight testing).
- Experience working in cross‑functional engineering teams.
- Current or recently active Secret or higher DoD security clearance (desired).
Requires working in an office and production environment (constant) and sitting/standing for long periods. Must use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard (frequent).
Salary Range$85,500 – $121,275.
