Digital Electrical Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Digital Electrical Engineer to work across multiple disciplines supporting manufacturing activities related to our communications and helmet-mounted display market. You will analyze product failure data, troubleshoot issues, and recommend improvements to enhance product reliability and performance.
Responsibilities
+ Analyze product failure data and malfunction testing trends.
+ Troubleshoot yield issues and recommend product and test improvements.
+ Perform root cause analysis on field failures and support continuous product improvements.
+ Effectively troubleshoot problems and implement effective solutions.
+ Participate in continuous improvement and team-building activities.
+ Maintain productive working relationships with all team members.
+ Complete assigned tasks with a high level of quality in a timely manner with minimal supervision.
+ Communicate effectively with management regarding status, issues, needs, and ideas.
+ Support qualification of obsolete, not recommended for new design, and last time buy components.
+ Act as liaison between manufacturing diagnostic technicians and engineers on existing products and during transfer of new products into manufacturing.
+ Maintain lab, equipment, and work areas.
Essential Skills
+
Experience with test equipment, test engineering, schematic interpretation, and digital electronics.
+ BSEE/MSEE or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering.
+ 4+ years of experience in a manufacturing/production environment providing engineering support.
+ Practical and theoretical knowledge of electronics, including reading schematics and interpreting assembly drawings and work instructions.
+ Working knowledge of test equipment such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, and meters.
+ Experience utilizing software tools like Lab View and Microsoft Office.
+ Strong communication skills.
+ Exceptional organizational skills and a strong, dependable work ethic.
+ Ability to travel domestically up to 10% of the time.

+ U.S. Citizenship required.

Work Environment
This is a heavy engineering design and manufacturing environment where all products are designed and manufactured in-house. The position is fully onsite, working as part of a team of 7 members. The team is primarily responsible for addressing and troubleshooting any issues on the product floor and transitioning new products from design into production. The work environment involves a commitment to quality, teamwork, and innovation, supporting state-of-the-art tactical radios for military applications.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Germantown, MD.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $56.00 - $72.00/hr.
