Senior Electrical Engineer - Space Technologies

Position Summary

Regular. We are seeking electrical engineers at all levels to join a dynamic team working to put Great Systems on Orbit. The role involves designing, analyzing, integrating, and testing custom high‑speed digital and analog electronics for space systems. The selected candidate will collaborate with cross‑disciplinary teams to meet program technical needs within time and budget constraints.

• Design custom high‑speed digital electronics, including ADCs, DACs, FPGAs, processors, and communications drivers.
• Design and conduct analysis of analog circuits, including low‑noise signal conditioning and power amplifiers.
• Provide expertise to both product development and R&D efforts, and collaborate with peers, leads, and managers to develop and refine designs and analyses.
• Work within a broad‑disciplined program team to support electronics manufacturing and test; all other duties as assigned.

• Master’s degree in electrical engineering with 5 years of experience, or a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 8 years of experience.
• Experience in design, analysis, integration, and test of custom electronics.
• Proficiency in electrical design software and simulation tools such as Altium, SPICE, MATLAB, Simulink, Hyper Lynx, and MS Office.
• Ability to conduct circuit analysis and simulation to optimize performance and reliability.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance.

• Understanding of space qualification standards and requirements.
• Experience designing custom electronics for space products.
• Experience designing to defined requirements and performing high‑reliability analyses (electrical stress analysis, worst‑case circuit analysis, reliability analysis).
• Experience producing PCB layouts and understanding manufacturing and assembly processes, including IPC standards.
• Experience developing and conducting testing of complex electronic sub‑assemblies, including design of special test equipment.
• Experience deriving sub‑assembly requirements from higher‑level system requirements and defining test methodologies.
• Experience developing design and verification documentation such as Interface Control Documents (ICD), Design Description Documents (DDD), Test Plans, Test Procedures, and Test Reports.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for presenting designs to internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to complete assigned work within defined timelines and budgets.

Must work in an office and manufacturing environment (constant). Requires sitting and standing for long periods; talking, hearing, and using hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard (frequent).

Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance.

Salary range: $100,500 – $153,250.

This position requires access to information subject to ITAR and/or EAR compliance. Applicants must qualify as a U.S. person under ITAR and must not require an export license. Current U.S. citizenship may be required for contract compliance.
