Overview

We are seeking electrical engineers at all levels.
The selected candidates will join a dynamic team working to put Great Systems on Orbit with capabilities to perform leading edge tasks in laser communications, space electronics and sensors.
- Design custom high speed digital electronics including the use of ADCs, DACs, FPGAs, processors, and communications drivers.
- Design and conduct analysis of analog circuits including low-noise signal conditioning and power amplifiers. Provide expertise to product development and R&D efforts.
- Collaborate with peers, leads, and managers to develop, review, and refine designs and analyses to meet program technical needs within defined time and budget constraints.
- Work within a broad-disciplined program team providing expertise in support of electronics manufacturing and test.
- All other duties as assigned.
- Master’s degree in electrical engineering with 5 years of experience or a Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering with a minimum of 8 years of experience (equivalent consideration may apply).
- Experience in design, analysis, integration, and test of custom electronics.
- Proficiency in electrical design software and simulation tools (such as Altium, SPICE, MATLAB, Simulink, Hyper Lynx, and MS Office).
- Ability to conduct circuit analysis and simulation to optimize performance and reliability.
- Understanding of space qualification standards and requirements.
- Experience designing custom electronics for space products.
- Experience designing to defined requirements.
- Experience with analysis necessary for high reliability space electronics hardware (electrical stress analysis, worst-case circuit analysis, reliability analysis).
- Experience producing PCB layouts and understanding PCB manufacturing and assembly processes.
- Understanding of relevant IPC standards for electrical design and fabrication.
- Experience developing and conducting testing of complex electronic sub-assemblies and design of special test equipment (STE).
- Experience deriving sub-assembly requirements from higher-level system requirements and defining test methodologies.
- Experience developing design & verification documentation (Interface Control Documents/Drawings, Design Description Document, Test Plans, Test Procedures, Test Reports).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to present designs to internal and external stakeholders.
- Able to complete assigned work within defined timelines and budgets.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance.
- Ability to work in an office and manufacturing environment (Constant).
- Required to sit and stand for long periods; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and keyboard (Frequent).
