Senior Electrical Engineer - Space Technologies

We are seeking electrical engineers at all levels.

The selected candidates will join a dynamic team working to put Great Systems on Orbit with capabilities to perform leading edge tasks in laser communications, space electronics and sensors.

• Design custom high speed digital electronics including the use of ADCs, DACs, FPGAs, processors, and communications drivers.
• Design and conduct analysis of analog circuits including low-noise signal conditioning and power amplifiers. Provide expertise to product development and R&D efforts.
• Collaborate with peers, leads, and managers to develop, review, and refine designs and analyses to meet program technical needs within defined time and budget constraints.
• Work within a broad-disciplined program team providing expertise in support of electronics manufacturing and test.
• All other duties as assigned.

• Master’s degree in electrical engineering with 5 years of experience or a Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering with a minimum of 8 years of experience (equivalent consideration may apply).
• Experience in design, analysis, integration, and test of custom electronics.
• Proficiency in electrical design software and simulation tools (such as Altium, SPICE, MATLAB, Simulink, Hyper Lynx, and MS Office).
• Ability to conduct circuit analysis and simulation to optimize performance and reliability.

• Understanding of space qualification standards and requirements.
• Experience designing custom electronics for space products.
• Experience designing to defined requirements.
• Experience with analysis necessary for high reliability space electronics hardware (electrical stress analysis, worst-case circuit analysis, reliability analysis).
• Experience producing PCB layouts and understanding PCB manufacturing and assembly processes.
• Understanding of relevant IPC standards for electrical design and fabrication.
• Experience developing and conducting testing of complex electronic sub-assemblies and design of special test equipment (STE).
• Experience deriving sub-assembly requirements from higher-level system requirements and defining test methodologies.
• Experience developing design & verification documentation (Interface Control Documents/Drawings, Design Description Document, Test Plans, Test Procedures, Test Reports).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to present designs to internal and external stakeholders.
• Able to complete assigned work within defined timelines and budgets.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance.

• Ability to work in an office and manufacturing environment (Constant).
• Required to sit and stand for long periods; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and keyboard (Frequent).
