Senior Electrical Engineer – Advanced Hardware Design
Are you passionate about designing the electronics that power cutting-edge communication systems?
We're looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the development of advanced electronic hardware for next-generation satellite communication products. You'll take ownership of complex board-level designs, working across high-speed digital, power electronics, and mixed-signal circuitry from concept through production.
This is a highly technical, hands-on engineering role where you'll collaborate with RF, Mechanical, Firmware and Manufacturing teams to deliver innovative products used around the world.
What You'll Be Doing- Design complex electrical hardware from concept through production.
- Develop high-speed digital, mixed-signal and power circuitry for advanced communication systems.
- Design switching power supplies, power distribution networks and power management circuits.
- Create schematics, perform circuit analysis and support PCB layout activities.
- Perform board bring-up, debugging, validation and root cause analysis using laboratory equipment.
- Validate signal integrity, power integrity and overall hardware performance.
- Support design verification, manufacturing, qualification testing and product release.
- Work closely with cross-functional engineering teams to solve complex hardware challenges.
- Drive continuous improvements in performance, reliability and manufacturability.
- 5+ years' experience designing complex electronic hardware.
- Strong experience designing switch-mode power supplies, DC-DC converters or power management circuits
. - Experience with high-speed digital and mixed-signal hardware.
- Strong schematic capture and circuit design experience.
- Experience supporting PCB layout and working closely with PCB designers.
- Hands-on board bring-up, debugging and validation experience.
- Experience using oscilloscopes, spectrum analysers, logic analysers and other laboratory equipment.
- Knowledge of signal integrity, power integrity and EMI/EMC fundamentals.
- Experience with interfaces such as SPI, I²C, UART, Ethernet, DDR or PCIe is desirable.
- Proficiency with Cadence OrCAD/Allegro, Altium or similar ECAD tools.
- Satellite Communications, Aerospace or Defence experience.
- Power electronics or high-power hardware design.
- RF hardware exposure.
- Manufacturing, DFM/DFA and production support experience.
