Overview

The position involves delivering an industry-leading client service experience in person and by phone, developing and expanding client relationships. It includes providing financial solutions that meet client needs through consultative conversations and referrals to other business partners for additional growth opportunities. The role may be cross-trained to perform required teller duties as needed.

Responsibilities
  • Exercise advanced proficiency with routine client maintenance requests, problem resolution and advanced sales functions regarding deposit, credit, convenience and other product and service lines.
  • Contribute to meeting or exceeding client service and branch sales targets by offering products and services focused on developing, expanding and retaining relationships.
  • Support the team sales process by conducting consultative conversations and referring more complex client needs or financial goals to internal specialists.
  • Participate in all components of the established Retail Community Bank Leadership Routines.
  • Advance knowledge of sales techniques and product knowledge through attending meetings, training classes and web-based learning to better serve clients.
  • Advise on consumer lending options and take loan applications.
  • Adhere to internal controls, procedures and risk management policies; stay informed of policy changes to ensure compliance with current guidelines.
  • Provide a consistent client service experience by engaging clients with courteous conversation during transactions and helping them navigate the branch; may include handling teller transactions and greeting clients.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2 years of client sales and service experience
  • Experience with sourcing and prospecting for new clients and client relationship building
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficiency with basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office)
  • SAFE (Mortgage Licensing Act) compliant within 30 days of employment, including NMLS background check and ongoing regulatory requirements
  • Ability to multi-task under time constraints
  • Ability to travel to accommodate temporary staffing needs, including temporary assignments or locale changes
  • Availability to work weekends and/or extended hours with occasional travel and overnights
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associate’s degree or higher
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities under time constraints
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Professional, high level of service quality
  • Experience discussing, recommending and selling various deposit, credit and retirement products to consumers and small business clients
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed sales goals
  • Understanding of bank operations, policies and procedures
Compensation
  • Relationship Banker:
    The annual base salary is $45,760-$59,500. Additional incentive pay is available.
  • Senior Relationship Banker:
    The annual base salary is $45,760-$68,500. Additional incentive pay is available.
