Resort Manager

Incredible, luxury waterfront resort and Spa is seeking an experienced hospitality professional for a Resort Manager role.

The Resort Manager is responsible for directing the day-to-day operations of the resort, assisting the General Manager in implementing hotel goals, strategies, etc., and fulfilling the General Manager’s duties in his/ her absence. Ensure that the highest caliber of service is offered to all guests in accordance with the resort’s internal standards and those of Forbes Travel Guide, so that all guest expectations are met or exceeded.

The successful applicant will distinguish themselves less by technical hotel knowledge and more by leadership presence and organizational influence.

• Oversee and direct Rooms, Food & Beverage, Spa, and Waterfront. This list may change based on business needs.
• Assist in establishing and creating goals and strategies for both the operational and financial success of the hotel.
• Ensure that goals and objectives of human resources management are met through supporting the hotel philosophy concerning, but not limited to, hiring, mentoring, coaching, employee relations, accountability, disciplinary action when required.
• Collaborate with corporate officers in the execution of corporate goals.
• Partner with the General Manager and ownership representatives in the planning and execution of capital projects, preventive maintenance initiatives, and asset preservation strategies.
• Responsible for establishing and maintaining hotel standards.
• As a member of the executive team, work closely with Executive Committee members in achieving hotel performance and financial goals and objectives.
• Establish annual objectives for Departments reporting to Resort Manager.
• Conduct Managerial performance evaluations, delivering candid and honest feedback
• Comply with all Standards of Service, and ensure Forbes service standards are implemented, team members are trained in 5-star service standards and all team members under supervision comply in meeting expectations.
• Responsible for employee compliance with hotel policies and procedures. Initiate disciplinary action when appropriate.
• Collaborate with Sales & Marketing, Revenue Management, and Food & Beverage leadership to maximize resort revenues, market share, and profitability.
• Assume overall leadership responsibility for Hotel Effectiveness, thus ensuring that labor standards are adhered to, and labor costs are carefully managed.
