Tier II Refresh Technician

* SAIC is seeking a Junior Field Technician to support our Department of Energy client.

Primary duties will include:

+ Communicating effectively and professionally with customers, organizational IT Points of Contact, management, coworkers, via email, MS Teams chat, phone calls

+ Working with customers and IT Points of Contact to determine technical requirements for laptop, desktop, and/or thin client refresh replacements

+ Imaging/configuring end-user workstation hardware - laptop, desktop, thin client

+ Updating asset assignment and/or location in DOE's personalized Service Now instance (aka DAYS)

+ Following checklist to ensure all required software installed correctly during imaging

+ Submitting supplemental Service Now tickets as needed to support refresh customers.

* Education and Experience Requirements:

* + High School and three (3) years or more related experience.

+ Must be a US Citizen

+ Experience installing, replacing, troubleshooting hardware and software preferred

+

Experience with MS Windows preferred

Experience with Service Now

+ Must be able to meet physical requirements of the position which involves a significant amount of standing, walking, bending, disconnecting and reconnecting cables and peripherals, physically picking up hardware. May involve reaching under desks, behind desks in potentially dirty/dusty locations.

+ Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE BAO clearance (public trust equivalent)

* Primarily the Department of Energy's Germantown building, but some travel may be required between Washington, DC locations and the Germantown, MD location.

Target salary range: $40,001 - $80,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
