0009013] engagement team | Analyst 4 labor category - STD level exempt professional aligned under services related to NAICS: 541611 located Washington, DC supporting The Office of Environment, Health, Safety, and Security (EHSS) is The Department of Energy (DOE)'s central organization responsible for health, safety, environment, and security; providing corporate-level leadership and strategic vision to coordinate and integrate these vital programs.
EHSS is responsible for policy development and technical assistance; safety analysis; and corporate safety and security programs. The Office of Environment, Health, Safety and Security advises DOE Senior Leadership on all matters related to environment, health, safety and security across the complex.
Seeking Technical Guidance Analyst candidates with relevant Energy, Resources, And Industrials sector experience (functional and technical area expertise also ideal) to support professional services engagement for Energy, Resources, And Industrials sector clients such as EHSS. This as a contract contingent or contract W-2 (IRS-1099) position and Pro Sidian reserves the right to convert to a full-time Pro Sidian employed W-2 position.
Job Overview
- Provide services and support as a cost reimbursement (Technical Guidance Analyst) in the Energy, Resources, And Industrials industry sector focusing on human capital solutions for clients such as The Department of Energy (DOE | OC - EHSS) | Office of Classification (OC) | Office of Environment, Health, Safety, and Security (EHSS) located in Washington, DC and across the Mid Atlantic region.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Technical Guidance Analyst
- Assist in the development and revision of classification guidance, working closely with federal staff.
- Perform technical reviews and evaluations of DOE classification guidance.
- Prepare and submit new DOE HQ classification guidance for approval.
- Use specialized software (XML editors, SharePoint) to manage and format classification documents.
- Interface with DOE classification staff and other subject-matter experts to support technical guidance development.
- Maintain the accuracy of the GDTS system and manage the distribution of classification guides and bulletins.
- Provide technical analysis of classification policy revisions and updates.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of DOE classification policies and guidelines.
- Familiarity with classified networks (C-NET, NNSA ESN) and document handling protocols.
- Experience in technical document management and guidance systems.
Education / Experience Requirements / Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Public Administration, Information Systems).
- 5+ years of experience in classification guidance or technical support roles within government agencies.
Skills Required
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in XML editors, SharePoint, and classified document management.
- Ability to work closely with federal staff on policy and guidance development.
- Attention to detail
Competencies Required
