Contingent Systems Administrator; Mid-Senior- TS​/SCI w​/Polygra Security Clearance

Position Details

This position is contingent upon contract award.

• Manage daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systems.
• Provide assistance to users in accessing and using IT systems.
• Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of problems; support IT systems including day‑to‑day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.
• Provide support for escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers.
• Optimize system operations and resource utilization, and perform system capacity analysis and planning.
• Provide in‑depth experience in troubleshooting IT systems.
• Provide detailed analysis and feedback to agency management and internal customers for escalated tickets.
• Provide support for dispatch system and hardware problems, remaining involved in the resolution process.
• Configure and manage UNIX and Windows (or other applicable) operating systems, install and load OS software, troubleshoot, maintain integrity, configure network components, and implement OS enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
• Support design of systems, mission architecture, and associated hardware; possess working knowledge of system administration interdependencies as part of Service‑Oriented Architecture (SOA).
• Manage daily activities of infrastructure configuration and operation; experience installing, configuring, maintaining, troubleshooting, and using system security (container security, virtual machine security, security boundary enforcement), configuration, and reporting tools.
• Preferred infrastructure experience with tools including ELK, Tripwire, VMware, and Red Hat SELinux security tool suite.

• Level 0:
  Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field (e.g., computer science, mathematics, physics) plus 1 year of relevant experience.
• Level 1:
  Bachelor’s degree in Engineering plus 3 years of relevant experience; or Master’s degree plus 1 year; or Doctoral degree with no experience.
• Level 2:
  Bachelor’s in Engineering plus 7 years of relevant experience; or Master’s plus 5 years; or Doctoral plus 3 years.
• Level 3:
  Bachelor’s in Engineering plus 10 years of relevant experience; or Master’s plus 8 years; or Doctoral plus 6 years.
