About the Role:
We're hiring an Information Technology Engineer Level II
- Network to design, deploy, and maintain the network and IT infrastructure supporting our engineering, lab, and program environments. You'll take ownership of network architecture, segmentation, and Linux-based systems that keep our teams and test environments running reliably and securely.
What You'll Do:
- Design & Maintain Infrastructure:
Design, configure, and maintain enterprise and lab network infrastructure, including switches, routers, and firewalls. Design and manage VLAN segmentation to isolate lab, program, and enterprise traffic appropriately. Install, configure, and administer Linux servers and workstations supporting engineering and test environments. Monitor network and system performance, troubleshooting outages and degradations quickly. Maintain network security posture, including access controls, segmentation, and patching. - Support Programs & Users:
Provide network and IT support to engineering, test, and program teams. Document network architecture, configurations, and standard operating procedures. Support integration and test labs with networked test environments and connectivity. Evaluate and recommend network/IT hardware, software, and services. - Collaborate:
Communicate clearly with engineering, program management, and IT security stakeholders on network status, risks, and changes. Provide schedule and cost input for network/IT infrastructure projects. Support audits and compliance requirements related to network security. Attend engineering, customer, and business meetings as required.
What You Bring:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 2+ years of experience in network engineering and IT infrastructure. Hands-on experience with network administration, VLAN configuration, and Linux systems. Working knowledge of network security best practices and segmentation strategies. Strong troubleshooting skills across network, server, and workstation environments. Ability to work independently and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
U.S. Citizenship required. This position may require an active DOD security clearance or the ability to obtain such clearance within a reasonable time after commencement of employment.
The salary range for this position is $83,552.00/year-$/year. This range reflects the good faith estimate of pay the employer is willing to offer at the time of posting. Several factors can influence the pay scale, including but not limited to:
Federal contract labor categories and contract wage rates, collective bargaining agreements, geographic location, business considerations, scope, and responsibilities of the position, local or other applicable market conditions, and internal equity. Other factors include the candidate's qualifications such as prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education/training, and certifications. In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for: annual performance-based bonuses, equity awards, and overtime pay (for non-exempt employees as applicable).
