Building Service Worker (Shift
2) – Seneca Valley HS

Under general supervision, performs building cleaning, facilities and grounds maintenance work in schools and administrative buildings. Entry-level position in building service staff. Employees receive on-the-job training in simple manual skills and use of cleaning and grounds tools and equipment, and supplies to clean interior and maintain grounds.

• Clean interior of buildings and maintain grounds.
• Move or lift furniture and equipment up to 50 lbs.
• Respond to emergency personnel duties, reporting to buildings during inclement weather and other locations.
• May be required for frequent overtime or night work.
• Maintain current working telephone number and update as required.
• Wear provided uniforms and proper attire.

Physical demands: sufficient strength to lift and move heavy objects (minimum 50 lbs.) and perform manual labor. Consideration of accident and injury hazards and exposure to disagreeable elements.

• Completion of the ninth grade required.
• High School or GED diploma preferred.
• Experience in general cleaning of buildings and grounds.
