We are excited to announce that we have an opening in our Germantown, MD office for a Supply Chain Manager in support of our DRT operations.
Responsibilities- Ensure overall management and direction of the procurement and planning Supply Chain functions, while formulating and implementing a culture of continual process and operational improvement.
- Ensure planning and purchasing of materials and services support company revenue goals and customer contractual commitments.
- Interview and hire staff and oversee staff training.
- Foster the professional development of procurement and planning personnel.
- Clearly communicate department and company goals and metrics in support of profitability.
- Create and maintain department budget.
- Ensure processes and procedures comply with Government, Customer, and Company requirements.
- Monitor performance metrics and action opportunities for efficiency and improvement.
- Primary point‑of‑contact for internal stakeholder and customer material inquiries and issue resolution.
- Primary stakeholder of monthly lot planning meetings ensuring demand is entered in a timely manner in support of production schedules.
- Lead responses to customer RFIs, compliance articles, and general SCM related inquiries.
- Lead material quoting and availability efforts in support of B&P activities and coordinate outputs to program management and finance.
- Ensure internal stakeholders are aware of any changes to material availability and cost that may impact production schedules and company competitiveness.
- Utilize company ERP system to execute supply chain related actions, as well as create and prepare reports as required.
- Manage the supplier qualification and evaluation process.
- Lead discussions in weekly internal material status reviews and supply chain meetings.
- Owner of DRT supply chain procedures.
This position carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's operating policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities can include interviewing, hiring, training and developing employees; creating effective staff plans - assigning and directing work; performance appraisals, rewarding and management of employee discipline when required; and addressing complaints and resolving conflicts. Active mentoring and development of staff is a critical element of the supervisory responsibilities to create a highly performing cohesive team.
Qualifications- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Applicants selected may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. - 10+ years of relevant SCM experience.
- BS in a Business discipline (SCM, Finance, Contracts Mgt., etc.) or Equivalent Experience.
- Expert knowledge of supply chain management tools and practices.
- Proven leadership and management skills.
- Experience with FAR and DFAR.
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems (Costpoint preferred)
