Research Associate II, Adenovector Research and Development

Responsibilities:

• Carry out diverse laboratory procedures and assist in planning preliminary experimental designs.
• Work cooperatively within and between departments/teams.
• Assist in preparing technical reports/summaries and provide input to interpretation of experimental results.
• Perform two or more techniques: cell culture, virus culture, PCR, plasmid cloning, in vivo analysis, and/or western blotting.
• Troubleshoot general technical problems.
• Record protocols and results in an electronic lab notebook (ELN).
• Use scientific literature to stay current with technologies.
• Attend and present results at department/team meetings.
• May order supplies, maintain inventory, and maintain lab equipment; may order/distribute critical reagents.
• Comply with applicable health, safety, and environmental policies.

• BS in biological sciences or related area with 4–5+ years lab experience (or equivalent); MS requires 2–3 years.
• Hands-on experience in cell biology, virology, molecular biology, biochemistry, and/or immunology.
• Strong technical skills; strong working knowledge of MS Office.
• Ability to work independently and in a team; present work to a small group.
• Good verbal and writing skills; able to write clear, concise technical reports.
• Organizes work effectively and uses time efficiently.
