About the RolePrime Physicians is seeking a proactive and results-driven Business Development Executive – Federal Healthcare to support the continued growth of our federal healthcare practice.
This is a mid-level, hands-on business development position for an individual who can take ownership of assigned initiatives and independently drive them through completion.
The Business Development Executive will work closely with the Chief Growth Officer and leadership team on federal healthcare business development activities, including teaming partner identification, partner outreach, relationship development, opportunity research, teaming coordination, agreement follow-up, and collaboration with the Bid/Proposal Team.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, persistent, relationship-oriented, and comfortable taking responsibility for business development activities from initiation through completion.
Key Responsibilities Business Development & Partner Engagement- Take ownership of assigned business development initiatives and drive them through completion.
- Identify and evaluate potential teaming partners, prime contractors, subcontractors, and strategic partners.
- Research prospective partners based on capabilities, agency experience, contract vehicles, past performance, and opportunity requirements.
- Identify appropriate business development and executive contacts within target organizations.
- Conduct proactive outreach through phone, email, Linked In, industry relationships, and other appropriate channels.
- Schedule and coordinate introductory, teaming, and strategy meetings.
- Develop and maintain productive relationships with current and prospective teaming partners.
- Ensure timely and professional follow-up after meetings and discussions.
- Maintain momentum on active partner engagements until next steps are completed or the engagement is closed.
- Manage teaming partner engagements from initial identification through finalization.
- Coordinate communication between internal leadership and external teaming partners.
- Facilitate the collection and exchange of capability statements, past performance, resumes, certifications, pricing inputs, and other required information.
- Coordinate NDAs, Teaming Agreements, subcontracting documentation, and other partnership-related agreements.
- Track agreement status and outstanding action items.
- Proactively follow up with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely completion.
- Maintain organized records of partner discussions, agreements, capabilities, contacts, and active pursuits.
- Escalate delays or issues when necessary to keep activities moving forward.
- Research and monitor federal healthcare opportunities using resources such as SAM.gov, Gov Win IQ, USA Spending, agency forecasts, and industry sources.
- Support opportunity qualification and business development planning.
- Conduct research on incumbents, competitors, contract vehicles, agency buying patterns, and past awards.
- Support teaming strategy and capability-gap analysis for targeted opportunities.
- Participate in opportunity reviews and Bid/No-Bid discussions.
- Identify potential partners that strengthen Prime Physicians' position on targeted opportunities.
- Maintain accurate information on assigned opportunities and related partner activities.
- Serve as a business development point of contact between teaming partners and the internal Bid/Proposal Team.
- Coordinate partner inputs for RFIs, Sources Sought notices, RFQs, RFPs, and other federal solicitations.
- Ensure required partner information and documentation are collected within proposal timelines.
- Track deliverables, including resumes, past performance, technical information, certifications, pricing inputs, and corporate documentation.
- Work closely with the Bid/Proposal Team to resolve outstanding partner-related requirements.
