General Facilities Maintenance Technician – responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs of Walmart store facilities, equipment, and fixtures. Supports store operations under the supervision of the Local General Maintenance Manager, ensuring safety, functionality, and aesthetics of the retail environment.

• Maintain and repair facilities, equipment, and assets using plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling, and food equipment skills.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and other equipment to complete jobs.
• Receive, process, and document reactive repair Work Orders in the work‑order management system.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
• Complete all required safety training and equipment operation certification.

• 18 years or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and move frequently on ladders.
• Comfortable working at heights.
• Ability to sit or stand for long periods.
• Ability to work in various temperatures.
• Valid state‑issued driver’s license with clean driving record (must pass MVR).
• Vocational or technical certification and at least 1 year of experience, or 2 years total work experience, in one of the following trades: plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade.

Vocational or Technical certification and 3 years of experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade; valid driver's license; eligible for a CDL.

Completion of a 2‑year vocational or technical trade program; license in related trade in the city or state where the job is located; intermediate proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

The hourly wage range is $21.00 – $39.00. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour. All benefits are subject to eligibility and may vary by location and employment terms.
